A Terrific Turkey Day Celebration!

We were so excited that Grandaddy, JuJu and Uncle Cam came to our house for Thanksgiving! We had a blast and were sad to see them go. We had yummy food and a great time.

Here is Suzana rockin' out to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!

Our little turkey in her turky dress!Of course, she had to help cook too. She is cutting up her potatoes. Uncle Cam didn't really like her having a knife, although it was a butter knife. Hmmm, that is kind of funny since I'm pretty sure he started playing with knives, fire and electrical outlets at 2!!! Suzana and her friend Brookie at the kiddie table. Not too often we can get one of these!!Suzana, JuJu and I made a gingerbread house the day after Thanksgiving. It was fun, but really, a two year old doesn't want to put candy on a house, it is much better in her mouth!!!Our finished project and one big CHEESE!!! What a great time and so many blessings to be thankful for!!!

AND, Happy Birthday tomorrow PawPaw!

Tree time!

So, it may be a little early, but here at the Gibson house, we have a Christmas tree! Josh will be super busy until AFTER Christmas and we weren't sure if we would have another chance as a family to put it up, so we did it last night. It isn't finished, but it is up!

Suzana made some Christmas tree cookies to put us in the holiday spirit! She told the tree to go bye-bye! It took away from our nightly family game of hide and seek, so she wasn't too sure about it.
What she did LOVE was the BIG box!! It was her little artsit's paradise!

Where could you find a better, more comfortable place to create art?

I told her we were going to decorate the tree, which we actually didn't get to yet, so she got some beads and stickers. She is SERIOUSLY creative!!

When dad lit the lights, she liked the tree much better. She said, "AMAZING!" And she really meant it. She was in awe! That was all we needed to get our Christmas spirit ready!
Now, time to put on the rest of the decorations! Wonder what she'll say about those? Have a great weekend!

Bears and Birthday

Well, this week has not been too exciting. We have stayed home most of the time working on pottying. She is doing fabulous!! The other highlights of the week were our friend/neighbor's birthday party and going to our church to hear a Berenstien Bears book read by the author. Both of these events were a lot of fun!

Miss birthday girl, Sydney, and Suzana beating on their "drum." They play Twinkle, Twinlke and ABCs on here almost every day!

When our other neighbors moved, they left us this adorable house. Suzana loves it! We play Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf all the time!

This is the author, Mike Berenstein,of the Berenstein Bears. Here he is demonstrating an illustration from the book he wrote and read to the kids.

Suzana loved mama and papa bears!!

"HI BEARS!!!!!"

However, when she could meet them, she decided she liked them better from a distance. :-)

First Haircut!

Oh my goodness, Suzana Kate had her very first haircut today! Using the potty, getting a big girl haircut...where is my baby???

Here are some before pictures...

Playing outside before leaving to go cut the big cut.
Here she is playing on the slide at the coolest kids' haircut place in the world, Kiddie Kutters. Slides, movies, balloons...just enough to take their minds off the main event!
Of course she chose the pink Barbie Jeep to sit in. She is a little leary of what is about to happen, but watching Dora eased her mind enough that she had to reach for mama for just a second, then she was fine.
The first big snip!

Finishing touches on such a BRAVE girl!
And her favorite part, getting her hair dried. What a girlie girl!
The finished princess! Doesn't she look adorable? No more mullet!

Getting a balloon and sucker for being such an angel!
Back at the slide with her gorgeous new "do!"

I am amazed at what a good girl little miss was today! She even wanted to stay and when we left she said she wanted to go back! I'm such a proud mama!

Potty Time!!

Well, I didn't take a picture of this, but Miss Suzana has been using the potty ALL day and wearing big girls panties!! Her friend Brooklynn has been spending a lot of time with us, and I guess all it took was watching her for a few days, because she is doing GREAT! She even tells me when she needs to go. Just wanted to share this big milestone in her life. Although I miss her being a tiny baby, I am so VERY proud of my big girl (who really is still a baby, but has just changed so much in two years!) Well, better see if she needs to "go!" :-)

A Puuuuurrrrfect Halloween!

Miss Suzana was the cutest kitty cat in the whole world last night for trick-or-treat! Here she is meowing!Trick-or-treating with Lily the monkey and Sydney the butterfly.Shakin' that kitty tale! Evidence of a blue lollypop! Here she realized that this trick-or-treating business was a lot of work and was ready to go home! Finally, running for the home stretch!Never mind, time to take a break and eat some of that candy she's been working so hard for! What a fun first trick-or-treat!
Earlier in the day we went to the Christian book store for some fun Halloween activities. She wanted to "wear black kitty shirt like momma's." :-)
I had to squeeze in one more pumpkin outfit this morning for church! It is hard to believe it is almost time for holiday gear! NOTE TO GRANDPARENTS: Yes, that is the Toys-R-Us Christmas catalogue your grandaughter is looking at. She has pointed out many things she would like, hehehe! Just kidding! Hope everyone had a fantastic Halloween weekend :-)
