Christmas!!

Well, the Gibson family was absolutely blessed with wonderful things this Christmas, especially time spent with our families and friends! I downloaded 202 pictures just from Christmas Eve through yesterday, so I couldn't quit put them all on here :-) We hope everyone had a magical Christmas and here are just a few pictures of our fun times!

Last Monday, Kelly and baby Kirk came to visit and Suzana was in baby heaven! She helped give him a bath, change his diapers and feed him his bottles. Of course, she had to wear PJs that matched him too! It was his first overnight trip and he was such a good boy!

On Christmas Eve, Gigi and PawPaw came to our house and we made gingerbread cookies to leave for Santa. We were so glad they made the trip since Josh had to work Christmas Eve night.

He helped us make cookies before he went to work though, and this is our gingerbread family he and I created!
No, Suzana didn't steal one of Santa's cookies, she swiped one of the reindeer's carrots!

We couldn't find where Santa left Suzana's toys, but when dad got off work he found them in the garage! Suzana was glad since she didn't want him in her house, haha! Here is the vanity he brought her. She LOVES it! I think she may have a better relationship with ol' Santa now!

Since Suzana loves to match, we wore plaid jammies for Christmas AND dada added to the fun by buying us matching UGG boots! WE LOVE THEM!PawPaw insisted that Suzana paint his toes with all of her new polish, HAHA!!

Suzana (and myself) were excited that she got her first American Girl bitty baby from her great aunt and uncle. She even got matching jammies herself! They are getting ready to go to bed Christmas night.
The day after Christmas we headed to my see my family in Beckley. Here is Suzana's favorite gift of ALL!!! And another favorite gift, playing in the snow with Aunt Shannon!Another day of snow!

Then we headed to Huntington. Here is Jake and T! Next year they get to join in on the fun of having a kiddo at Christmas, double time!!

What an awesome Christmas 2009 brought! Thanks so much to our familes! We love you and cherish the memories we made together this year! Happy 2010 everyone!

So much Christmas fun!

We have had a week FULL of Christmas cheer! First, here is a picture of our finished tree! We went to the KY Horse Park for the annual Southern Lights. They have light displays all over the park that you can drive around and see. Suzana really like the lights, but was tired of it by the end because she wanted to see the horsies! But first, we stopped at the petting zoo. So, I know I post pictures all the time of her feeding and riding animals, but the girl loves them!

She is cracking up because the goat bit her finger! She still laughs about it today!

Is your mama a Llama??

I guess this is the only family Christmas picture we will get until after the New Year.

No comment needed here, she loves what she loves!

Checking out the beautiful train display with dada.

We also went to see Santa with our friends. We actually got a picture too! She isn't smiling, but she's not crying either! Afterward, she was full of smiles!

Santa gave us a coupon for a free cookie too! She and Kate looked so cute in their bright coats eating their bright cookies!

Christmas Party!

Suzana had a Christmas party this weekend, and Santa was there!

She loves to hug her friends and spread Christmas cheer! Knock, knock! Guess who's at the door?? By the look on her face, you probably know!Getting a little comfort from dad. She wasn't totally freaked out by Santa, but would rather keep her distance. Of course, after he left, she was looking for him!Opening her gift from Santa.Yay! Dora in a blue dress!!A pretty picture on our way out the door!We love this time of year and parties make it even better!!

Some randomness

Sorry it has been a week since I posted last! Josh was in Chicago and we were in Huntington, and we have been busy trying to get everything finished for the Holidays. Suzana is so awesome this time of year!! I have not enjoyed Christmas this much since I was little! The other day, if you don't already know the story, we were looking at the nativity scene and she said, "There is baby Jesus, Mary and JOEY!!" So funny! She is also a rock star at singing Jingle Bells. I will try to post a video of her! Also, Suzana and I are so proud of our hard working Josh, he was voted CHEIF RESIDENT!! Way to go Dada Josh!! Here are a few pics to wrap up the past week.

Suzana loooooves Christmas trees and lights! Here she is at Paw Paw and GiGi's house checking their tree out.
While Josh was in Chicago, he found Suzna this bunny robe. She always tries to wear mine and was so very excited to get one of her own!A church close to our house had a wonderful Christmas festival. They did an entire reenactment of Mary and "Joey's" travels and it was very authentic. They also had a lot of lights, animals and other fun things! This was the first time Suzana ever saw a camel. She liked when he out of her hand because it tickled! She is waving to him in this pic.

We liked the piggy light display! And of course, multiple pony rides!! We are going to have to find a stable this spring where she can go ride ponies, don't think it will be too hard here in Lexington!

A Terrific Turkey Day Celebration!

We were so excited that Grandaddy, JuJu and Uncle Cam came to our house for Thanksgiving! We had a blast and were sad to see them go. We had yummy food and a great time.

Here is Suzana rockin' out to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!

Our little turkey in her turky dress!Of course, she had to help cook too. She is cutting up her potatoes. Uncle Cam didn't really like her having a knife, although it was a butter knife. Hmmm, that is kind of funny since I'm pretty sure he started playing with knives, fire and electrical outlets at 2!!! Suzana and her friend Brookie at the kiddie table. Not too often we can get one of these!!Suzana, JuJu and I made a gingerbread house the day after Thanksgiving. It was fun, but really, a two year old doesn't want to put candy on a house, it is much better in her mouth!!!Our finished project and one big CHEESE!!! What a great time and so many blessings to be thankful for!!!

AND, Happy Birthday tomorrow PawPaw!

Tree time!

So, it may be a little early, but here at the Gibson house, we have a Christmas tree! Josh will be super busy until AFTER Christmas and we weren't sure if we would have another chance as a family to put it up, so we did it last night. It isn't finished, but it is up!

Suzana made some Christmas tree cookies to put us in the holiday spirit! She told the tree to go bye-bye! It took away from our nightly family game of hide and seek, so she wasn't too sure about it.
What she did LOVE was the BIG box!! It was her little artsit's paradise!

Where could you find a better, more comfortable place to create art?

I told her we were going to decorate the tree, which we actually didn't get to yet, so she got some beads and stickers. She is SERIOUSLY creative!!

When dad lit the lights, she liked the tree much better. She said, "AMAZING!" And she really meant it. She was in awe! That was all we needed to get our Christmas spirit ready!
Now, time to put on the rest of the decorations! Wonder what she'll say about those? Have a great weekend!
