Sickness, pumpkins and BIG NEWS!

Well, Miss Suzana has once again been sick, sick, sick this week!! Is preschool really worth all the germs? Not sure right now! She is still stuffy and has a cough, but starting to act like our silly Suzie once again! Here is a pic to prove it!! This is what she was doing while I was in the shower! Think she may need to go with a shade or ten lighter! We were supposed to go to WV this past weekend for a birthday party and baptism, but since Suzana was sickly we decided to keep our germs here. PawPaw and Gi Gi decided to come visit since we didn't make it. I thought it would be fun to carve pumpkins together, since the weather was absolutely perfect. Suzana was interested for about one minute..... then she was back to "driving!" BIG surprise!

Since she wasn't very interested, Gi Gi and I carved the pumpkins ourselves. It was no small task, seriously!!

AND, drum roll......................Josh and I are going to have our very first (and maybe second) niece/nephew!!! We are sooooooooo excited that God has blessed Jake and Shannon with their first pregnancy! Say a prayer that everything goes perfectly and for a healthy mama-to-be and baby(ies)!!! YAY!!

She even wrapped up his cards, haha!!She also got to open the gifts up!Sneaking a little cool whip from Dad's punch bowl birthday cake, yummy!!Happy birthday to the BEST daddy in the world!! We love you and are so very thankful you were born!!

Trains and Horsies

We had so much fun this weekend! Jake, Shannon and their niece, Caelan, came to Lexington to visit. Suzana was invited to a birthday party on a train, so Shannon and Caelan joined us. It was the first time Suzana rode a real train, it was just a short trip. Doesn't she look adorable in orange?Caelan took her to the front of the train to watch it go on the tracks. Her favorite book right now is The Little Engine That Could, so this was a great experience for her! AND Caelan was such an awesome "babysitter" all weekend! Suzana had so much fun playing with her!

We also went to Keeneland to watch the horsies race. Suzana LOVED the horses and really wanted to ride them. We may look into horseback riding lessons, she REALLY loves them! The scenery at Keeneland is absolutely gorgeous, especially with the trees turning colors!

Watching the horses parade around before the race.

She looked like such a big girl in her outfit and "riding" boots!
Gosh I love fall!! Have a great week!

First Build-A-Bear (cat)

Since we have been stuck in the house the past two days, hoping Suzana would feel better, we were ready to get rid of some major cabin fever. We decided to go to the mall and we used a Build-a-Bear gift card she got for her birthday. We had a blast. She picked out a cat, of course, and named it meow. It looks so cute and she loves it! There were a lot of fun things to play with in the store and the clerk commented on what a good girl she was after she put all the things up she pulled out. I agree!! We had a great day :-)

AND, I LOVE MY NEW CAMERA!!! I actually have pictures of her smiling! YAY!!!

Preschool and Pumpkins

It is hard to believe, but little Suzana Kate started going to preschool one day a week. If she looks nervous in the pictures, it's because she is! Her first day went well, but she cried a little off and on throughout the day. This week she was sick and didn't get to go, but hopefully she will learn to love all the fun at preschool. It is located at a baptist church in Lexington and I think it will be a great experience for her! First day jitters ;-)

We also had our friends Adam, Allison and Eliza visit last week. Here are the girls in Elmo and Cookie Monster towels. They are so silly!!

We visted an awesome pumpkin patch while they were here!
She is getting so big!

On the hayride going to the pumpkin patch.

OOOOOOO!!! Look at all those pumpkins!

Telling the duckies that she loves them :-)

HI SHEEP!!! She was so excited!

She would only feed the sheep, not the goats. We had such a fun time!!

Stupid computers!

We have had a great week, Suzana even started preschool; however, I can't download any pictures right now for some reason. I even have a brand new camera, one I've always dreamed of (early Christmas present, since my bit the dust at the MU game). I would love to share them, but I guess it will have to wait until this website cooperates. Hope you are having a great week!

Fun Fall Weekend!

What a fun-filled, crazy weekend we had! We went to Huntington for the Pumpkin Festival on Friday, Marshall's homecoming Saturday and a wedding Saturday evening. Suzana was so tired when we got back, but we all had a blast! Here are some pictures from the pumpkin fest.

Suzana is taking the banana pepper nose off this pumpkin face, ha! I'm surprised she didn't try to eat it!
Checking out all of the huge pumpkins!
Running in the straw maze. She loved it!

Walking with T and Jake. She sure does love them!
You can look at the sky and see why we needed this umbrella. Sweet Josh ran all the way to the car, which was pretty far, to get us umbrellas. Of course, it stopped raining about 2 minutes after he got back with them ;-) And, yes I'm holding our families' annual treat of a yummy funnel cake! Gotta love the fried goodness of festivals!

The next morning, we got up to go to the MU game. Here we are cracking up at the Alpha Xi Delta house.
And practicing a cheer with daddy while tailgating!
Hope you had a great weekend too! Have a wonderful week!
