Time for change...undies and hot chocolate!

BRRRR!! It is hard to believe how fast the temperature has dropped in just a few days. Well, since we were in 90 degree weather all last week it is even a bigger adjustment. It has been pretty chilly all day and Suzana has a cold, so we haven't been able to play outside for very long. Right now, Josh is literally chasing her and running laps around the house to wear her out before bed since we usually play outside all evening and she falls to sleep fast! Since it is so cold, we decided to share some hot chocolate, of course she had hers in her "Go Herd" cup. She LOVED it! But, even bigger news is she has on big girl undies (Elmo panties, you'll see in the pics)! We have been working just a little bit on using the potty, and will have "potty boot camp" when we get back from WV this weekend. We decided to wait until we didn't have anywhere to go for a while so we didn't have to potty train while traveling, ugh!! We'll see how it goes, pray for us!!! Here are some pics of our big girl!

By the way, if you are wondering, yes Suzana did color on the window behind her, but it is OK, just window markers, comes right off! And, check out her tan lines!! She's such a tan cutie!

We're Back...

Josh, Suzana and I just got back from Hilton Head Island today. We had such an amazing time! With Josh's crazy work schedule, this was our first family vacation since Suzana has been born. It was worth the wait! Of course I took hundreds of pictures, but here are just a few to share a glimpse of our wonderful time. There is nothing quite like watching a small child explore the beach and ocean in such amazement!

Our favorite time to play on the beach was sunset. Suzana loved the water and sand! We loved being there this time of year, the weather was absolutely perfect!



We were so happy that our great friends, the Dorseys, were there the same time as us. Josh was excited to get to play golf a couple of times with Elliot while Suzana and I got to play with Jamie and Ben. We all went on a dolphin cruise one day on this tiny red boat. We had a blast and saw at least 50 dolphins within arm's reach. The kids loved it, but so did we!

Love this girl so much, don't really care about the crazy tan lines this may cause! Awwww!

Now we can't wait to go back! Suzana told us the condo we stayed in was her house now! HA! If only that were true. Oh well, that just gives us something to look forward to next time. Thanks DaDa for an unbelievable trip! Love you!!

Fall is here!

First of all, Suzana would like to thank everyone for such a perfect birthday! She had a wonderful time and appreciates everything!

Here is Suzana drinking from her "GO HERD" cup. That is actually how she asks for it every morning and makes me drink from one too. I think we have an MU fan!

My favorite time of year is fall, and today we kicked it off a little early with a visit to an apple orchard. We had a blast! Kentucky has so many beautiful places to visit with gorgeous scenery and fun things to do. Here are a few pics of Suzana playing today.

Can you believe it's been two years?

It is hard to believe, but Miss Suzana Kate will be TWO tomorrow! My goodness, time does fly! I have been so blessed though to get to stay home with her! She is truly amazing and mine and Josh's hearts are so filled love for her that they may pop! Getting ready to leave for the hospital! Exactly two years ago today (to the hour as I'm typing!)WHOA BELLY!!!! That is all I have to say about this one :-)

Suzana just a couple seconds after she was born...the world became blessed with a life that will probably do something absolutely amazing for the world!

And here she is today at 2! It seems like two years really isn't that much time, but she has changed so much! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOMORROW SWEET SUZANA!!

By the way, ever since her pictures the other day, she has seriously been an absolute angel. Perfect in every way! I'm pretty sure I just jinxed myself. It's probably just the calm before the STORM!!

Terrible Twos!!

Suzana will be two on Saturday, it is SO hard to believe. She has changed so much in that time and it has flown by! Today we went to mark this milestone with some pictures. She looked so adorable and they got some great shots... But the majority of the photoshoot went like this...
She just wasn't sure about those lights and those people telling her what to do! Of course, after it was all over and I was looking at the pictures, she was back to her sweet self sharing her snack and toys with the other kids and "taking care" of a baby. There are some great pictures though, but I don't want to put too many on here, I want them to be a surprise!

Circus and backyard fun!

Last week Josh extended our back patio. He did a fabulous job and now we actually have room! He is so handy! Suzana has her own little corner now too and loves to sit under her "brella." Yes, she is eating a green tomato!

On Sunday we went to "The Greatest Show On Earth." Suzana really liked all the animals and the lights and colors, but what she enjoyed the most was....
